The Children’s Playhouse is a licensed Group Family Day Care and Preschool program encouraging early learning, fun play, and nature-based education.
Group Sizes – As a small, personalized program, we have no more than 12 children per session and 3 teachers.
Setting – The home-like setting offers a comfortable, relaxed environment where each child is able to learn, play and flourish as they grow.
Teachers – Our teachers are sensitive to the unique needs of each child. Their individual development is promoted with loving care and attention.
Technology and Security – Throughout the day, photos of the children’s activities are uploaded to a dedicated and secure online portal and shared with the parents. Security is also enhanced with a video doorbell and cameras to ensure the safety of children at all times.
Healthy Eating – Healthy homemade meals are enjoyed each day and nutritious snacks are served twice daily. The food we serve is nitrate-free with no high fructose corn syrup [HFCS]. Many of our fruits and vegetables are organic and our milk is organic as well. Our water is filtered.
Our Program
Our program for children, ages 16 months to 4 years, is designed to support the growth of bodies, minds and social development. Positive experiences at these ages lay the foundation for each child’s successful future. This mixed-age setting provides opportunities for all the children to learn, mature and appreciate each other.
Afterschool and Extended Day Program
Children through 2nd Grade are invited to join our day students and enroll in our After-School Program from 3:00pm to 5:30pm. The program includes dinner, homework help, art, story, games and outdoor play.
Children may be dropped off via your personal transportation or your child’s school transportation service.
Afterschool STEAM Program
We also offer an after-school STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) Program for children ages 5 and above. We introduce hands-on projects that will challenge students and develop a basic understanding of STEAM principles.
Summer Program
Children enjoy Arts & Crafts, Story Time, Drama, Music, Nature Study, Sprinklers, Sand Play, Gardening, Dance & Movement, STEAM Activities, and fun Learning Games that promote academic success.

Schedules
Parents may choose 2, 3 or 5 days per week.
Full Days: 9AM-3PM [2 snacks & lunch]
Extended Days: 8AM-5:30PM [3 meals and 2 snacks]
